Good stuff.

What a weekend! Saturday was the big wedding! Everything southern and wonderful in attendance!

Hairspray?

check.

Straighteners?

check.

Curling irons?

check.

Double lipstick and mascara?

check and check.

I wish I could convey to you how wonderful these two people that got married are. As well as their families. It was a beautiful, Christ honoring service. One minute we were praying and crying, the next we were laughing so hard it hurt! It was a good day. And in a time where weddings are spectacles and marriages are only until the fun wears off, it was wonderful to see a couple take it so seriously...

Until the bridesmaids donned big huge clown sunglasses as we left the church.

Anyhoo, she's the last of us to get married and boy am I glad. I think you could definitely say the best was saved for last, but also I am pretty sure I am getting too old for this stuff. I am worn slap out.

Can I tell you about someone else wonderful?

This little princess.

The bride gave her this tiara to wear for her job of passing out candy and bubbles (that was my bouquet, isn't it beautiful?!). And she did it well. She also had a little helper! I love that guy.

And since she knew how tired and worn out I was, she started a load of laundry - on her own - and then went to cleaning my room and making my bed. She knows I can't get in an unmade bed at night. I mean seriously, could there be a better kid?

She woke up this morning pretty much preaching to me. Seriously proclaiming the gospel. No kidding. She prayed with me several times after our Bible reading time together. Also telling me her testimony about how she is getting so much closer to God and really is feeling His presence. And how she is discerning God's voice from satan's trickeries.

I was speechless. Speechless.

Oh how fickle we are, though!

By 3:00 she was in tears because she was certain God wants her to sing at church and she is terrified. So I of course volunteered...

her piano teacher to do a duet with her!

Am I the best or what?!?

Gotta go - better call that teacher...

A duet to sing?

I'm sure her piano teacher is very happy with you. I'm happy because you are not singing. The church isn't ready for that yet.
