We all love a good church.

Recovery is going well thankfully. We are both pretty exhausted. I slept in Schyler's bed with her for the past two nights, but I am pretty sure I am moving back to my own room tonight.

Of course, Brandon snores so I can't imagine I'll be any more rested than I am now. I actually am never very rested. Just taking the opportunity to complain about it now and have everyone say "bless your heart" and "it must be so hard" and "can I do anything?".

Also getting ready for the lin-ger-eee (as it's known in our house) shower. Anyone want to volunteer to come clean baseboards and all that fun stuff?

Preparing for the shower has made us do some stuff around here that needed to be finished up. You know, we've only lived here for six years so it's not like we've had a prior opportunity.

My sweet daughter gave me some perfume the other day, so if you smell something, it's definitely me. She wrapped it up all pretty - for no special occasion either - and gave it to me. I opened it up and thanked her enthusiastically. I told her I couldn't wait to smell it and asked her if she already had.

She said, "Yes. It smells like church."

Well that was a little odd. So I said very nicely, "Oh! Church! I'll smell like a church lady!"

Turns out that was entirely the idea when she told me, "You are a church lady."

She smelled it and thought of (old, musty, moldy, sweaty- kid-filled) church and knew how much I like church. Perfect match.

Guess I can give up my one gift a year - Mademoiselle by CoCo Chanel. No sense in smelling like French luxury when you can smell like church.

Well, you certainly could smell worse than Church!
