We're better, yada yada

Sweet relief!

Yesterday got better and better. Don't ya just love that?

Schyler's check up with the surgeon went well. Then I carpooled with some fellow homeschool/co-op moms to Tuscaloosa for a meeting of our cover school. It was so great. We had a great time in the car (of course) and there was some great encouragement at the meeting.

And then, the most amazing thing [insert band of angels] - we slept through the night!! No waking up crying! No waking up period!

Yes, when I walked outside there was a nice cool breeze, a family of beautiful red birds formed a heart shaped wreath with honeysuckle vines as I walked. Wrens whistled the theme song from Mr. Rogers as I skipped with our kitty cats down the driveway to get the paper at which point the cats picked it up and ran back to the house with it.

*Sigh*

It was more like hot as fire, the cats clawed me to death until I fed them and the rooster flogged me when I went in the coop. I got the paper myself and there was no skipping involved (but I did walk in a hasty manner).

But you know, it's all a matter of perspective. It's great to still have so much to be thankful for even on the bad days.

If any of you homeschoolers are interested, I met Elaine last night. She is a teacher and this is her second year to homeschool her 3 boys. She had some great organization tips for lesson plans and some good activity ideas on her blog!

Also a lady in my co-op group has a new website www.insidehomeschooling.com They had some great tips last night for homeschooling high schoolers and she's going to get that page up there soon. So if you have high schoolers or middle schoolers, you may want to check it out.
