Yep, it happened like that...

Yes it is 5:00 and I have been in my comfy clothes, i.e.:jammies, for the better part of thirty minutes. I care none.

I've got shin splints. They hurt. They prohibit me from exercising too hard. Darn.

Had a little fun at Books-A-Million today. A lady in line ahead of us was showing how cute the bookmarks that we were all looking at together looked when they were in a book. The book she demonstrated on was called, "Sexaholics" (I know that's supposed to be underlined, but I don't know how).

Nice.

Um, lady, I am so glad that you are secure enough to share that with random strangers, but I've got a budding reader here. A very good budding reader. Thanks.

I had a great Saturday. My Granny celebrated her 85th birthday and her 68th wedding anniversary with my Granddaddy. Sixtyeight years. God bless that woman.

Anyway, the thing about birthday gifts for, um...more mature people is that they've been given everything twice. So people typically go for food, which is awesome. Everybody likes food. So I got to piggyback on the generosity of my parents gift to them. They took us all out to a restaurant then back to Granny and Granddaddy's for dessert. Good day.

My nephew and his ridiculous mother rode with us, and on the way home, my lovely daughter said,

"I'm trying to think of something funny to say to make you laugh."

Now where on earth did she get that from?
