I get that a lot...

So I got a typical (for me) phone call the other day.

She says, "Hey! How's it going? Is this a good time?"

Hey I don't know about you, but it's ALWAYS a good time. Am I right? Heeeyyyy... hooo, ain't no party like a Brown party.

Get ready to use your announcer voice...
*We apologize for the previos interruption of Jennifer's ADD*

Well, then my friend ('cause you know, I've only got one and I'm pretty sure she's on the brink of take off) says, "I wanted to ask you some things because I know you'll tell me the truth."

Yeah, I get that a lot.

Seriously.

That's my gift? The truth? I maybe should start working on my social graces...

You also wouldn't believe how many people hit the road because they no longer want to hear the truth.

Isn't that kind of how it is with Jesus? We get so close to Him when it's going "our way", but when He starts to tell us the truth - we take off in the opposite direction.

Still there? Did I lose you at Jesus?

Oh yeah, I can SO get serious. And evidently honest. SO if you want to know how you look in that dress, you prooooobably shouldn't ask me...

Honesty. A dying trait. I have it as well. Painful at times, isn't it?

It's good to know that there are still folks around that embrace honesty. There's not enough of it these days.

But I won't be asking you if my chicken is dry or not, though.

Aawwwwww Jill - don't worry. I would never be honest with you.

Mollie - I'm pretty sure it's genetic among us Garver females. I've noticed it in a few of the newer versions, too!
