Stop the Madness!!

That was my ode to Billy Mays, "The OxyClean Man". But it kind of goes along with something I have been thinking lately. Yes, yes hold your gasp. I have in fact been thinking. I know it's a little strange and way out of my comfort zone, but thinking I have.

I have been noticing something a lot of women are prone to do. The old, "Why don't I do that? I should be able to do that."

I have a lot of friends that God has equipped in different ways to care for their family. Here are a few examples:
- One friend works two days a week in order to provide insurance benefits and extra income while her husband is in a ministry position.
- One friend sells things on E-Bay for extra money. She can spot an "E-Bay outfit " a mile away!
- One friend raises chickens and a garden to help provide.

So you get it. I could go on and on. But how incredible that ALL of these women seek God first. Sometimes we get so caught up in the "I should be more like that" or even thinking that MY way is superior and this is what God wants me to do so it must be what He wants everyone to do.

I pray that today we all thank God for how He has gifted each one of us to care for our family in His own unique way. As long as it is God's way, one is not better than the other. Ever since I visited Mexico a couple of years ago I say, "Diferente no es malo, solo diferente!" Different isn't bad, only different!

You are so correct!! I get caught up in the "why can't I do that" or "why can't I be more like that"! It is amazing though when you sit back and see how we are all so different yet so much alike....good post!

You are going to be so proud though..you inspired me to take a much closer look at something in particular this weekend. I will tell you about it later!!
