Friday has been pool day for the fam lately. The Officer's parents have an in-ground pool which is so nice because we visit it frequently and we don't pay a dime to keep it up! Yesterday when Aunt Mama Hen brought the brood for a swim Abbie asked why I never posted it on my blog. It went a little like this:
Abbie: "Why don't you put this on your blog?"
Me: "I know! I want to, but I always forget my camera." I know, I know. Veteran bloggers everywhere are gasping in distaste.
A: "Well you don't have to put pictures you know. You can just write about it. People always like to read about themselves."
Me: "Oh really?"
A: "Oh yeah. You know once I was in the paper and I loved to read about myself."
I assured her that I would write about it this time.
Aunt Mama Hen had to leave because James was trying to give everyone e.coli by continuing to poop in the pool (just kidding, he had on a Little Swimmer). So after she left we had GREAT conversation. It's just amazing what kids say after their Mom leaves them. Of course first things first everyone compared various times that they had regular diarrhea versus explosive diarrhea.
We did have a great time and I am so glad that they live close by now. And next time I will remember the camera so I can capture the various dives and cannonballs.

I think our little Abbie loves herself - and she should!
It appears James' stomach condition was caused by eating way too much watermelon the night before. He was better by that night, but you were a lifesaver with the wipes!
We are enjoying the pool so much and thanks for letting us come!
Oh, and not sure what all the "great conversations" were all about, but let me just tell you... They greatly exaggerate how much time I spend reading, napping, and spending time on the computer! :)
ooooh - too much watermelon will do it every time.
Wish I had been there.
