It's not much.

I know, I know. I have been chastised for my absence. It's just that it is so hot I am pretty sure my brain is fried. I can only come up with half thoughts at a time and even then they are not good.

I will show you what we've done lately.

Yesterday we met Daisy. She's a sweet little Jersey cow. It was much nicer in her travel trailer so she wasn't much on coming out. I really couldn't blame her.

This was a program at our local, very local library. Seriously, super local. You turn left at "The Four Way". The one and only four way. Say it and everyone knows where you're talking about.

Oh she was so, um, full. Mama's, I felt for her - you understand.

I mean really, we've been there haven't we?

Some are there now. She even slept through most of it and I won't lie - I've been there. I fell asleep in the nursing room when Schyler was in the NICU. The doors didn't lock and all I can do is hope no one opened the door. *tapping chin, thinking* There was this one respiratory therapist who always looked away when I came in...hmmmm...

Someone was excited about the milk. Look at the girls in the back, though...not so much.

Our piano prodigy:)

Honestly moms. I have one kid. One. Can't be that hard to keep up with that schedule, right? So feel free to judge me based on the fact that I forgot about her recital until her teacher called me at nine o'clock the night before to give me directions.

Really. We would not have been there. We had already made plans for the same time.

I am pretty sure there is something wrong with me.

We are furiously, well, furiously watching the garden. There's no rain so not much is going on. We have sprinklers hooked up to well water, but we need rain.

I keep forgetting to take my camera out to the garden, but here is a picture of our first yummy squash. Heirloom, by the way.

(the conspiracy theorist side of my brain is waiting for undercover black op swat agents to storm my house and hold lights in my eyes demanding to know where my stash of heirloom seeds are. "Tell us who your supplier is!!! Tell us or the squash gets smashed!!)

Oh the nursing! I fell asleep many a time. I remember one of the nurses at the hospital chiding me for not having baby in the plastic tub next to the bed but in the bed snoozing with me.

The squash. What do you make with it? We are watering and watching, things are happening, but my herbs didn't sprout (BOOOOOOO!). We will try again.

Schyler is too cute with her trophy. We have a piano, but no lesson takers. LOTS of noise, though.

Hi Mrs. Jennifer, I don't know how I missed your piano recital & the heirloom squash post!

Both subjects are right down my alley! I must have the same squash seeds, cause it looks just like mine, I have 3 plants of it, right now I'm getting the rain it needs, thank the Lord, (it was soooo dry for a month, they almost died even with the water hose.)

The one child busy thing I remember well, as for the first 9 years of motherhood I was wrapped up with one darling daughter.

I always told everybody that the number of children makes no difference at all, the mother gene kicks in & you are a different person forever.

Much love & enjoy the joyful noise!:)
