This is our road, pulling out of our driveway. My husband and father-in-law spent hours clearing the trees and power lines to get a path to homes so that everyone could be accounted for.
And everyone was accounted for. Although many homes were damaged, it seems as though people were okay. A little shell shocked, but okay.
This was not the worst. I do not want to make it out that we are among the worst of the damage. There are people searching for family all over. Cities have been reduced to rubble.
Our neighbor and friend found out only hours ago that their daughter was killed last night when their home was destroyed. She is survived by her husband and two children.
We are on easy street as I borrow power and cook on a camping stove. That could be classified as fun. Adventurous.
We know that we do not have it hard.
One woman who lost her home and possessions said, "This is part of life. It will happen again. But what I have stored up in heaven can not be taken away."

So glad you and your family are safe, Jennifer. We were spared any damage.
I'll be praying for your husband. I know he'll be helping out in a hard-hit area.
Talk to you soon.
I was so glad to hear from Betty and Trish you were okay yesterday. We got power about 4 pm yesterday and phone this morning. If you need to come over please do.
I love you, and am relieved to finally get word from you. Prayers for Brandon and his job. Prayers for all those with missing friends/family.
Glad you're okay.
Those are some pictures. I'm so saddened by the people who have lost loved ones in this.
I am super glad you guys didn't have much damage. I am so sorry to hear about your friend, though. So sad...
Wow, I've heard that it is bad down there, I'm praying for the hurting families. I've never experienced a tornado, I just cannot even imagine it!
