I hope you all had a nice day yesterday. We had a wonderful church service. Also, fellowship with church family and nothing-you-can-do-about family. Dee-lightful.
We had an ensemble sing at church that was just incredible. I am amazed at the talent in our small church. We had about 10 families present and out of that, four of them were singing and/or playing an instrument. And it wasn't that kind of "oh, their heart is in the right place" kind of singing, it was goooood singing.
*Spoiler alert*
We don't do bunnies and eggs and stuff (that was the spoiler in case you're wondering), but my husband's grandmother insists on buying Schyler a new dress, so we of course do not want to deprive her of that joy.
Oh how I tried to talk her into a cute little sailor dress like we used to wear when I was a little girl, but in the end, I let her choose. Is that a mistake?? I don't know!!
We wound up with something that was a little like, well, did you ever have a grandmother that sews? And if you did, remember how she had that fun drawer of scraps that she would let you dig through and "make things"? Well, it was a little like that drawer puked on a gigantic piece of poofy shiny purple material.
I will leave you with this,
However, when some people attempt to change that gospel to make it seem more attractive to those who wish to continue in sin, or change its message to allow for human works, we are to see such preachers as dangerous and under condemnation. May God keep us from both mistakes.

What does Schyler think of the dress?
Did she wear it to church?
When I lived in California I attended a church that had alot of really talented attenders...it was John MacArthur's church...the music was incredible...
We had fun too! You know we have to do eggs over here. There is no getting around it. They are running out of our ears!
No eggs or bunnies here either. I like to use the pagan tradition angle as an excuse to be cheap...
We did however have an egg hunt at the church on Saturday and one with the hubby's family yesterday.
I've got to see this dress!
Yes, I didn't see the dress in real life so picture please...
And what do you mean "nothing-you-can-do-about family?" What would you do with us? :)
We enjoyed a entire weekend as a family, no friends just us. Now, this may sound easy, but when you have teenagers, getting them all to yourself is quite a challenge! lol
What a great inspirational post. :) Thanks!
I wanna see the dress!
I want to see the dress too!
Susan - it was sucha woman thing, as fas as what she thought! She put it on and felt like a princess, then later it was a little scratchy, then I could tell she felt a little flashy. I probably should have just taken it back and gotten the one I wanted, but oh well. We'll do better next time!
Ma- that is so funny! Using that excuse to be cheap! ha! That's definitely my route!
