I love days like that.

Today's been a good day.

I've gotten a dead chipmunk out of my house...twice. Taken dead chipmunk away from my two year old nephew...twice. Chased the cat out of the house with dead chipmunk...twice. Been peed on...twice.

Are you sensing a theme here?

I think God is telling me that He has to go over a lot of things with me...twice...a day.

Oh dear.

I am telling you, deep thoughts just keep on coming to my brain. It's just some how wires cross between there and my mouth and nothing ever comes out quite right.

Yesterday I looked at one of my first blog posts and saw that I typed a quote by Oswald Chambers,

"Beware of allowing yourself to think that the shallow concerns of life are not orddained of God. They are as much of God as the profound." His reference was 1 Corinthians 10:31.

Another thought that has been on my mind lately is one from Pete Fleming. He was refering to the same verse when he said,

"Throughout all our personality we are God's, and since God has made our whole selves, there is great joy in realizing who is our Creator. This realization is to permeate every area and level of life...God is there to reflect the joy of His presence in the believer who will realize God's purposes in all things."

Funny how here, two years later God is bringing me the same message. Of course I bet He doesn't think it's so funny.

I get it though. And I believe it. Everything is spiritual. God has a purpose in all things. Even the very mundane. Especially the very mundane.

So now I've said I believe it, the proof as they say, will be in the pudding. I live what I believe. Will I find entertainment in the sin that Christ died for? Will I find satisfaction in pointing out the sin of my husband and ignoring my own? Will I be a trustworthy friend?

No I can't. It's not in me. But Jesus can and He will and through His power my weakness is made strength.

Wise words! Don't know that I've ever been peed on twice in one day (once, sure, but twice?) Lisa
