Deep thoughts (no, not mine)

Oh dear. So...many...deep thoughts...brain can't process...I know - you wondered what that smell was. Like something burning. Like when you turn your heat on for the first time at the beginning of winter. Yep. It was me. My brain.

I have been reading Through Gates of Splendor by Elisabeth Elliot, Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis, and another book by a local author that I can't remember the name of and quite frankly I must be too lazy to get up and get it because I'm not. But anyway, it's about government systems and stuff like that. Oh dear, did I lose you? I know. The overwhelming desire to either walk away or fall unconscious at the mention of "government systems" is almost completely overwhelming isn't it?

But anyway, you get the deep thoughts now, don't you?

In honor of me having some thoughts, I'll hook you up with some blogs waaaaay better than mine I've been introduced too:

At Generation Cedar the author tackles tough subjects and stands for her convictions.

Go and have a Holy Experience with Ann Voskamp. She does what I call "writes word pictures" with her writing. She is a published author and also just returned from a Compassion International mission trip.

For some God and cute stuff go see A Love Worth Finding. We visited this family's church a while back when we were searching for a church home. Although God didn't make it our home, this family was so sweet and welcoming. They made sure to speak to us and took a genuine interest in our family. They have just begun the adoption process, so they have a long way to go, and it sure will be a blessing to be able to "rejoice with the saints who rejoice"! Not to mention she is making and selling some super SUPER cute jewelry for super cheap. You should stock up for Christmas with her, very soon.

Thank you so very much for your kindness and sharing of what God is doing in our lives! I love how God brings us into others lives "for such a time as this!" Maybe we can have a play date and get to know each other a little more soon. Love love love play dates where the kiddos can enjoy time w friends and Mommies can enjoy adult-conversation :)
