Oxymoronic

I have had something I've wanted to talk about for a few days but I am in the throes of reading. I am reading a couple of Elisabeth Elliot's books including "Discipline: The Glad Surrender."

Oh. my. goodness.

Hopefully the next book will be called "Jennifer, You Are Doing Everything Right. Everyone Else Is Always Wrong. Your Child Will Grow Up Wonderfully. God Wants You To Be Rich And Beautiful."

Just kidding. Discipline may be a little painful, but it's in a good way. Or rather, a God way. And what I am gaining is far better than anything with my made up title could do for me, I promise.

I also am reading "The Robe". Oh goodness. Sooo great. So great.

Have I ever told you that I know titles are supposed to be underlined, but I can't figure out how to do it. Just so you won't go crazy saying, "Stop with the quotation marks already!!!" Like I would be doing if I were you.

We had a great day of oxymorons the other day. One we heard was this:

"Men's cashmere sweater." Ha! So funny! If he's wearing cashmere, honey, he ain't no man. Can your man like fuzzy soft things? Oh sure. In the privacy of your own home. When YOU are the one wearing it he can sit beside you and rub your soft cozy jammys all he wants.

Although, I bet the person I saw the other day would wear cashmere. I was getting my eyebrows done and he was getting a pedicure. Are you kidding me? I was thinking," how 'bout go next door to that construction site and learn how to do something." I had my nephew with me and I was trying to shield his eyes lest he learn some sort of awful habit.

Again, PRIVACY OF YOUR OWN HOME PEOPLE. Should I make signs? Distribute pamphlets? What would help you?

LOL! You crack me up!!

But, I agree...seriously, men and cashmere don't go together. They can have the steel toe boots, we'll take the cashmere!

Hi, Girl... Two and a half years on the blog, and I haven't figured out to underline book titles either. Will the similarities every stop?

We went by the "taco stand" tonight. I'm willing to meet you there when you're in the neighborhood! (A new adventure in dining!)
