Okay, ya'll. I just watched the funniest video at Generation Cedar. You need to go watch it, it's hysterical! Maybe not if you are not a homeschooler, but if you are a homeschooler you absolutely have to see it! Some people said the robot voices were bad, but that was one thing that made it so funny! We've had this conversation so many times it's robotic now.
And I am definitely going to end arguments with Matthew 5:22! So good! "I have to stop listening to you now...I may be in danger of the hell fire." Price.less. (You'll get it after you watch the video.)
Can I just tell you I likey the Chic-fil-A. I just went and used 4 of those calendar coupons at once and got lunch for everybody. They're so nice. And I'm pretty sure patronizing them counts as tithing, right?
Seriously it's so cold now I can't even think.
Schyler will be seven next week. I'm pretty much freaking out about that. This time seven years ago I was in the hospital hooked up to everything known to man trying to keep her from coming a big 14 weeks early. Guess what? Didn't work. But now...
It's funny how many time a week I have to remind myself of that. You know, through clenched teeth,"She's a miracle, she's a miracle, she's a miracle..."
I read a good post on thoughts of Mary and Joseph (I'm going to try to find it and give credit where due, promise). Everything they were going through, everything they endured, didn't they deserve - you know, that word I like to throw around, "but God, don't I deserve this good thing?"- a nice cushy bed, a room, a midwife, breakfast, something! But Mary didn't huff and puff and pitch a fit like I would have. "Hulllloooo" Birthing the Savior here! Is a pillow too much to ask for!?!"
She was the handmaiden of the LORD. It was done unto her as He willed.
Did you know handmaiden got that name because they literally would stand watching their mistress' hand for a tiny little signal so they could move promptly, swiftly and without causing any disturbance around them.

Ha! Robot voices are so funny!
I saw that you left a comment on my blog. I am a blurker! I came upon your blog randomly and I love it! Your stories keep me laughing.
What a great definition for a handmaiden! That's the way I wish I was with God, "not causing any disturbance," but just yielding.
