We have had a super productive school week thus far.
Monday started with "character training". A good name is more valuable than great riches, so this is important to the properly run Christian household (such as ours). It starts out with eye rolling. Which is followed up with the switch. It then progresses to disobedience and backtalk. Which is also met with a switch. You know, rod+reproof=good (heavy on the reproof).
Tuesday we did "independent writing". Otherwise know as Schyler sitting on her swing set writing on pretty paper. Sorry I can't help it. She's not very good at being alone so when she's in the throes of it I just can't bear to interrupt. Plus I got to talk to my newlywed friend for like ever!(The worst thing about her new husband is that he knows how to properly fold sheets. Isn't that nice.)
Today was "music appreciation". Does listening to symphony music while riding in the car count? I'm pretty sure it does. Plus she watched me get some dental work. Check mark beside science. Double score.
Then we stopped to make a donation to The Salvation Army. It's half off day at their thrift store. I got two major cute sweaters and an Elisabeth Elliott book. Schyler walked away with a pink skirt and pink shoes. Can you beat that? Oh, hang on...I need to add math skills. I told you it was half off day. We got seven items for $12, so that makes...yeah, a fab deal.

I just can't imagine sweet Schyler doing any of that stuff. She's a perfect angel when she is with me :)
I hope you wrote all this in your lesson plan book - a homeschool administrator somewhere will get a big laugh out of it. :)
Love it! I haven't started yet. I was going to on monday but the hubby got home from out of town and we wanted to be with him for a while.
It's ok we are ahead anyway.
Thanks for sharing!
