I found the best egg advice! Woohoo! Come on. Surely someone is interested in this. I can't be the only southern Baptist here.
Don't use eggs that are too fresh. Have to be about 5 days old.
Get them to room temp.
Bring to a rapid boil, remove from heat, cover and let sit for around 17 minutes. Yes, 17. No, not 15 or 20. And don't stack them. They need to be in a single layer.
Put them in ice water to cool them down and let them sit for at least 10 minutes.
Now break the shells on your perfect eggs!
You may be rolling your eyes now, but just wait until your next covered dish when your eggs are the star. You'll be thanking me then.

I always wondered how to get eggs to break right...but I'm sure I will completely forget about this advice the next time I need it.
This is great...I haven't attempted to boil eggs in a while, but think I will now, soon, trying your helpful hints. "Foodage" I ♥ adding -age to the ends of words...we do it around here all the time!
