New Lessons

Remember vocabulary lists? The painstaking process of copying dozens of words, that you probably already knew the definition of but nevertheless spending about 30 minutes chasing down the "official" meaning.

Well, here's some updated vocab you can find only here:

1. aggravated - Used in sentence form:

"Mom, do you know what aggravated means?"
"Yes I do. Why?"
"Because it's what Dad says he is with you."
"Mmmhhmmm."

Now here is today's lesson in humanitarianism:

"Aren't we helping the Mexicans?"
"Yes. Why?" (I know, shouldn't I start thinking a little before I ask that.)
"Dad says somewhere there's a Mexican going hungry today because we're doing all this work ourselves."

Before you get all PC on me, we love Mexicans. The reason The Fave knows we're helping them is because I've been on two mission trips to Mexico and we support some kids at Casa Betania - www.benedictbunch.org - a children's home in Mexico (please go to the website and do the same!).
But come on, let's be honest about it and admit it's funny! When we see a white man sweating like a goat building a fence for his front yard...well, you know.

Anyway. Looks like The Dep is really getting in the swing of this homeschooling thing.
