More important facts...

Oh wow! I have another follower! I have gotten some major good info from Sherry at Living and Learning. Her five year old also has a too wonderful blog himself.

I just have to tell you it seems like I am getting a lot of help with teaching my daughter. For example:
We have a certain friend who has a certain husband that, when he gets mad at someone, calls them "Canadians". I guess this is to refrain from cursing - which we're glad about, or being so obvious in his frustration, or something. Perhaps he thinks that no Canadian would be crazy enough to move from icy cold goodness (not to me) to the blistering heat (not to me) of the south, so he is pretty safe in believing that there is no one to be around to get offended.

Well, fast forward to Favorite Girl asking me, many times, why are the Canadians bad?
"What? The Canadians are not bad."
"Are they the ones that have those funny flags?"
"What? No, I don't guess." Although that is a matter of opinion.
"I think me and Daddy watched a show about them."

Oooooh. After more detective work, I figure out she's talking about the Nazis. I know, so nice. Suitable documentary for every five year old. In his defense, it was interviews with Holocaust survivors.

However she is constantly confusing Nazis and Canadians!! It's so awful! We saw a commercial for a new war movie and she closed her eyes and said,"Oh! I am NOT watching! It's about those Canadians!"
So of course I corrected her and said those people were called Nazis and tried to explain that they are not people of a certain country, they had certain ideas that were very, very bad.
So she replies with,"Nazis, Canadians, whatever. Same thing."
Oh my word, ya'll!! Help me!

Having been to Montreal and Toronto a few times, I'd have to say...I totally LOVE Canada. Perhaps I should take her with me next time I go so she can see the difference.

That's HILARIOUS!!! Don't you love the assumptions kids make? They are so very entertaining, and a great window into how their brains work!!
