What a weekend! Friday was my last day of work. Woohoo! And I had the sudden unstoppable drive to come home and do some major spring cleaning. Last year my spring cleaning was semi-easy because I paid someone else to do it. I say semi because in exchange I had to go to the beach with grandmother-in-law and her sister. Which was lovely. I figured if I was going to do that, then I was going to have what I wanted accomplished done when I got home. And let me tell you - I put a down payment on her child's college tuition. Not that it wasn't worth every penny.
I got home and tore the house apart and my dear precious husband, The most loving Officer decided we needed to go to the beach. I know, I know, I am not complaining. It's just that well ladies...you know. For him it's spontaneous and great joy to feel as though he is doing something wonderful for his family - which he did. For us women, it's packing, laundry, behind on all the things I would have been doing if I were home, get someone to cover my responsibilities at church, try to figure out in my head if we can afford this, etc., etc. But I knew there was no use in arguing any of my points, I smiled and jumped in and my fam had a wonderful time and it was worth it.
Then we came home and God retreived my spring cleaning drive and I was off! It feels gooooood, too.
