Can I tell you that I know I need to post something and I know I have some good stuff to post. You know, during the day something will happen and I'll think, "oooo I'll blog this" (don't you love how you can make any word a verb these days?) and then when I get a minute to "blog", I can't think of a thing. Let's see...

I have really been on a high horse about kids/parents behavior lately, being that I see a lot of it, but I just figure there is so much seriousess going on I think I should be easy to digest so I'll shut up before I get started...
Oh I know!! Great news! My favorite girl started reading by herself yesterday! We have been working on blending sounds, but she had not quite gotten it. I wasn't pushing her, just waiting for those signs she was ready and my goodness, when we picked it up she took off! It was so exciting. She couldn't wait to get to school today and read to the "little kids". So now my little genius can read any word with 3 letters that has a short vowel sound in the middle. Oh and the word "the". I'll post a pic with her and her "Bob books" soon.

Yeah, Favorite Girl! It is the most wonderful thing to teach your child to read and be there the first time they "get it."
I do the same thing. When I am driving I can think of a million things to write about, but when I am at home its "I got nothing."
