Okay you all know how I do not mind placing blame where blame is due. I mean as long as it''s not due to me of course. I mean not that it is ever due to me, but if it was, you know.
So anyhoos- mostly, you know if the t.v. breaks up while I want to get the weather, I may complain just a little tiny bit about the government. Or when tax on a purchase is as much as the purchase itself, I may go on for a moment about the, um, government. Or when, well, I guess I better stop there before I go a little overboard.
I obviously have a little problem that I need to take care of. I would like to explain it to you, but you'd be better off going here and reading what Elizabeth says.
While you do that I am going to go. And take care of my little problem...It's not fun, but I'm so thankful for conviction.

At least the color was nice.
I hope you all had a nice day yesterday. We had a wonderful church service. Also, fellowship with church family and nothing-you-can-do-about family. Dee-lightful.
We had an ensemble sing at church that was just incredible. I am amazed at the talent in our small church. We had about 10 families present and out of that, four of them were singing and/or playing an instrument. And it wasn't that kind of "oh, their heart is in the right place" kind of singing, it was goooood singing.
*Spoiler alert*
We don't do bunnies and eggs and stuff (that was the spoiler in case you're wondering), but my husband's grandmother insists on buying Schyler a new dress, so we of course do not want to deprive her of that joy.
Oh how I tried to talk her into a cute little sailor dress like we used to wear when I was a little girl, but in the end, I let her choose. Is that a mistake?? I don't know!!
We wound up with something that was a little like, well, did you ever have a grandmother that sews? And if you did, remember how she had that fun drawer of scraps that she would let you dig through and "make things"? Well, it was a little like that drawer puked on a gigantic piece of poofy shiny purple material.
I will leave you with this,
However, when some people attempt to change that gospel to make it seem more attractive to those who wish to continue in sin, or change its message to allow for human works, we are to see such preachers as dangerous and under condemnation. May God keep us from both mistakes.
This is from "Days of Praise". A little daily devotional that The Institute for Creation Research publishes. Read "Other Preachers" in it's entirety here. You can have the paper copy mailed to you, free, or you can have the e-version sent to your inbox every day.

Good things can come from ickyness.
Well, the ick landed and it landed here. My poor poor girl got struck last night. Can someone tell me why these things always hit at night when you are about to go to sleep? Is there some medical reason for that?
The only time I ever knew of someone getting it during the day was once when my husband got it, and that really didn't count because he was working nights and had come home to sleep. So technically it was night for him.
Anyhoo - Of course it was after we exposed her piano teacher and her family, Aunt Mama Hen and her family, her cousin and his family, her grandmother and her clients at her salon, and her great grandparents.
You know, share and share alike. Sorry everyone.
Last night in the midst of her inner turmoil (I'll spare you the details) I commented that we never know why these things happen.
My girl, whom I hope to be like when I grow up, said, "If God didn't want me to have this He could stop it so we just need to pray and find out what we need to learn from this."
Seriously.
She's really sad about the possibility of missing Resurrection Sunday activities, so we're praying she is much better by then, but, well, see her words above.
I guess I'm surrounded by little evangelists. I have always said my nephew is going to be a preacher or a politician and I'm pretty sure we're going toward preacher. Whew.
You should hear his voice (because you would- loud and clear) and see the way he works a room. He never meets a stranger.
Yesterday he got in the car and told us he was "reawy, reawy happy."
I told him I was so glad. Who doesn't love it when people are happy?
He then said, "Let's pray."
No kidding.
Then, my three year old nephew led us in telling God "thank you for being happy."
Well, we're off to naturally medicate (any suggestions?) and watch movies on the couch all day.
We tried to watch a kids show on t.v. but thankfully the government knows what's best for my family, since I don't, and made it so that the television breaks up every two seconds and it's pointless to watch.
You knew I could work in my disdain for government control somewhere didn't you?

Is there a support group for that?
Did y'all see DebbieLynne's comment: "Okay, the S & you know cracked me up. You're a warped woman...but so am I." ? Now whatever could she mean by that? You know surprisingly, I get that a lot. That exact word - warped. Hmmm...
Anyway, you can use the link up there to her blog. She lives in Boston and she and her hubs enjoy the history so she has a lot of resources pertaining to American history linked up on her blog. Hint, hint, fellow homeschoolers. She also has some great commentary on her personal Bible study and other topics. All that plus the fact that she just seems to be a really cool person!
Also I won a fab-you-luuuus giveaway!! You know I have been lamenting over my shampoo failures. Well, Heidi did a shampoo giveaway featuring her ingredients and I won! I can NOT wait to get it and try it out. I will be sure to let you all know how it goes. Thanks Heidi!
IT'S A YUCKY RAINY DAY HERE and I keep hitting the caps lock key by mistake and I am too tired of going back and retyping, so sorry. I know I should actually learn how to type correctly so I can look at what I am typing, but not gonna happen.
So anyway, I finally snapped and told the kids to go outside and play in the mud.
My daughter said, "Gee mom. you never tell us to do that."
So I said, all cool like, "Is there some rule about not playing in perfectly good mud?"
They figured they better get while the getting was good and they were out the door in record time.
Sweet victory.

I really am not even sure what it means. I promise.
If you are wondering why I haven't posted- it's because I have just now gotten over that blasted yard sale. I promise I will never do that again.
But you know my friend. She talks me into things I'd never do on my own. Must be some sort of black magic she has going. You know, come to think of it, she is pentecostal...
Okay, MEMO:
1. Dollar General is for last minute, forgot to pick it up, need a card type purchases. Dollar General is not the wal-marks. You do not need to, no- you may not buy two carts full of items and get in front of me when all I need is kitchen gloves because one of the fingers in mine sprung a leak.
I'm sorry. I don't make the rules.
My deary daughter is all in to drawing hearts with initials in them. It's very sweet. She'll draw them for my husband with S&D for herself and Daddy. Then she'll draw them with S&L for herself and her cousin.
Then there's me.
Frequently we find pictures and letters around the house with S&, well, S and the initial for Mom. I just can't bring myself to type it out. It can be quite uncomfortable when you are at church and a note falls out of your Bible with hearts inscribed with S&...well, you know.

All smells here are a go.
Well, I won't lie. I caved. I caved and used store bought shampoo. I promise I could not help it.
Sunday at our after church fellowship, people kept wondering where the smell of fried food was coming from. It was me. Or to be specific, my greasy hair. The smell of my greasy hair in the hot sun. I was like a walking KFC scented air freshener.
The deodorant is going great, though. I am loving it. I guess at least I can say I didn't smell like horrible body odor. Better fried food than sweaty sock aroma.
And good thing I washed my hair and don't smell like rear, too, because I saw a girl that I graduated high school with today. You know one of those that you haven't seen since high school and praise the Lord (seriously here folks) that He chose to grant me the favor of time.
He gave me time to get my eyebrows done yesterday. Y'all I seriously can't even think of having to face someone I haven't seen in, well, a lot of years with my big ol' bushy eyebrows.
Can you imagine it all over facebook?? -
"I saw her today do you remember her? Well, she looked okay, but her eyebrows! Sheesh. She ought to do something about those things."
Thankfully that won't be happening to me...this week.
Schyler rode home with a friend today after co-op so my dear hubs and I took the opportunity to go eat lunch together at a nicer place that you wouldn't really drag the kids to.
So when we got up to the window to order I realized that Chik-fil-A is kind of expensive. I mean it's totally okay because we all know that eating there is as good as tithing, but man. I know some people who eat out a lot and I just don't see how they do it.
Well, I have really got to go. I am supposed to be getting ready for a big multi- fam yard sale tomorrow. For some reason I think I'll still be up at midnight tonight getting ready.

Eat it or clean with it?
Oh my poor child. She hardly ever knows if we are making supper or another science experiment. The other day my nephew asked us what we were cooking, which was chicken and dumplings, and my daughter replied,
"Deodorant."
I promise you my chicken and dumplings look nothing like my deodorant.
She's been doing that a lot lately. She told me that her friend's from co-op mom was from a different country. It was the country of Eucalyptus.
Turns out she's actually from Holland, but you can see where she would get the two confused, right?
Now, we have started using homemade deodorant and so far it is going well. My husband made me sniff his pits last night so what a relief that it has actually worked.
We have started with homemade shampoo - again, now that I have found out more information about it. I have to tell you the truth, I do not like this adjustment period, but I do really believe that it will be worth it.
Of course there is no adjustment for my daughter. Her hair is just more shiny, more beautiful, and more tangle free.
It is really not fair.
Isn't life supposed to be completely fair? I mean just for me not everyone.
*sigh*
