Bad Stuff

Something I have been doing with my Favorite Girl lately is the "What ifs" ( not those what ifs Aunt Mama Hen). You know, in a store asking her what she would do if I got lost from her, how does she know who works there, etc. We have been trying to get her to understand not to speak to people if she feels unsafe, and not if they "look" unsafe, because well, I hate to be cliche, but looks can be deceiving.

So anyway, we were talking over a "what if" and she said,"like if someone comes up to me and puts a knife to my throat, I probably don't want to talk to that person."

Please keep in mind #1 - I don't even know where she would get an idea like that! and
#2 - She is serious as a heart attack.

She is using her Mama's hand gestures and teacher voice. And I am literally wiping tears from my eyes in an effort not to laugh! I simply replied, "Correct. If someone holds a knife to your throat, they are definitely making a bad decision and you don't want to talk to them."
