So many wonderful things! Today is the 100th post of my friend at Capturing Glimpses !! Click the link to her blog and enter. Yeah, go ahead Aunt Mama Hen, you win all of them anyway.
While you are there, check out her post of their life two years ago. What a story! She discovered so much about how special her Second Dad is to her. Sometimes it takes a lot for us to realize that when God sends someone to us our heart grows and makes more room. He never intends for us to replace what was lost.
Can I just say WOOHOO!! Thank you Abbie's Aunt Jill! She cleaned out her closet and I got some rockin' outfits! Best. Day. Ever. Favorite Girl and I played fashion show all afternoon. The clothes are really to go to a massive yardsale that Aunt Mama Hen's fam is having to raise money to adopt a baby girl. Don't worry - I will pay for the clothes. Also I am putting a few things on e-bay for her that we thought she could get more for. When I figure it out i will put a link to the auctions. Anytime you feel like you have too many clothes in your closet, you just call me.
Here comes an awwwww moment. God gave me another fabulous memory to add to the file. Last night Favorite Girl decided to copy some words from one of her "big books" onto sketch pad paper. She immediately started realizing which words she wrote better and began to fix her handwriting. When she finished, she went through and sounded out as many words as she could, figured out what it said, and then drew a picture to go along with it. Did I tell you - awwwww. She has a love for learning! That was nurtured through God's mercy at home! I love Him!
That memory is added to the day it snowed. Our lights went out, so we snuggled in my warm bed and added with sparkly pencils. School in bed! Is there anything better!?! I just love it when we have these experiences and God whispers to me, "This is learning. You can do this."
