Art Show

Well no excitement - which can be good! We had a quiet day yesterday. Favorite Girl was still under the weather so we nixed our alooooone plans and The Officer cooked (see previous post) for us at home. What a nice guy! He also gave me a very thoughtful and nice gift and a sweet card. I hate sappiness, but I do love him so!

So I have opted for an art show! Woohoo! Free of charge. When these are hanging in famous art museums you'll thank me.

I just threw this one in. We are actually doing a science experiment here.
Working diligently on Valentine cards (yes ours are still homemade).

"Circle Girl"

She made this for me after we finished reading the book Secret Garden. You can see where she sounded it out herself - "SC GTN"!

One of her earlier water colors.

Her first drawing intentionally for me. That "wow" on there is actually "mom".

This is a sweet one. She drew a pic of her and me and after I hung it up she felt bad about leaving dad out so she went back and added him with a pen!

"Purple Hippo on a Rainy Day"

She is very much into landscapes right now.

Another early watercolor.

I have TONS more, but I'll stop there for today! I better not hear anyone mutter "good" under their breath.

Sorry your plans got nixed, but its always good to have a nice evening at home (esp if someone else is cooking!)

Tell Favorite Girl to keep up the good art work. Someone is going to have to finance Great Aunt Mama Hen's stay in the nursing home.

Girl - I hate that your aloonne plans got messed up, but now you have all that great artwork! I can't believe how big "Favorite Girl" has gotten. That hair - I'm so jealous!
