"Beware of allowing yourself to think that the shallow concerns of life are not ordained of God; they are as much of God as the profound." That's what Oswald Chambers had to say today and I must say that I very much agree. So does that mean that the fact that I just had to go offer potty assistance to a certain member (men!) of my household was ordained by God (absolutely kidding, it was not my husband - sorry dear)? Sure it does. As a mom, no matter how amazingly hip I am, my first job is my home. So this morning, I pray that my potty assistance brought glory to God (1 Corinthians 10:31).
I love that the day after I decided to begin this blog, God's word to me is about "shallow things"! Really though, my friend Jenn R. recently asked what we can do to prepare ourselves for Christmas and I think we're on to something here. Maybe take a little more time to see Christ in the mundane. I'll add this to my answer for her, then she'll think "ooooh you're so deep" and not a shallow thing at all! Totally just kidding again. I'll be glad when I've been at this for so long that my hundreds of fans and subscribers will get me and I won't have to write that anymore.

I'm not sure I have ever been mentioned in a blog! Boy, aren't I important? Really now, I know much better than that. I'm not sure I am brave enough to post my thoughts for all the world to read. You go girl!
