Author and Illustrator

My very favorite girl had to stay home from pre-school (as did I) today due to a case of strep throat. She created several works of art for me today as well as dictated a few for me. She is very into sounding out words right now, which is good. However, it can be a bit tricky trying to read. If I read it incorrectly, I risk destroying the professional writing career of my four year old, thus heaping all the blame for future bad decisions solely on my shoulders. I guess I did okay, though, because she walked up to me this evening and held her arms out for a hug and said, "You are so special to me." Happiness is brilliant.
